Young Artists Wind Ensemble June 30 - July 27
The Young Artists Wind Ensemble is considered one of the nation's premier youth music ensembles. Outstanding wind conductor and pedagogue David Martins, director of the Wind Ensemble at Boston University, conducts the first concert. Internationally renowned wind ensemble conductor H. Robert Reynolds leads the second concert.
The Young Artists Wind Ensemble students study instrumental works in a broad range of styles, including pieces for full wind ensemble, chamber music, and solo performance under the guidance of artist conductors and teachers such as the Vento Chiaro Wind Quintet, Axiom Brass, Jennifer Bill, and Sam Solomon. Students in the Young Artists Wind Ensemble participate in two full wind ensemble concerts and four chamber music recitals during the summer.
